The new BMW X5 xDrive40e visually, only the eDrive lettering at the rear of the car marks it different to the BMW X5. However, in purely electric mode, this vehicle can drive approximately 19 miles completely emission free and with zero fuel consumption.
When the battery is fully charged, you can drive for approximately 19 miles without using any fuel. In the AUTO eDrive mode, the X5 will work using the electric motor and combustion engine for maximum efficiency.
The BMW TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder petrol engine and a high efficiency eDrive electric motor are the driving forces of the BMW X5 xDrive40e.
In the MAX eDRIVE mode, you can achieve speeds of up to 75 mph in purely electric mode. At higher speeds or when the acceleration potential has been exhausted, the combustion engine switches on automatically.
