The New Porsche Cayman 718. New turbocharged horizontally opposed engines for increased power, considerably more torque, high rpm limit and lower consumption and variable turbine geometry (VTG) in the S models. The Cayman has an impressive acceleration from 0-100 km/h (0 – 62 mph) in 5.1 seconds and 4.6 seconds in the Cayman S. Increasing to 4.9 seconds and 4.4 seconds with PDK. The Cayman and Cayman S producing 300HP and 350HP respectively. The new 718 comes with the 2.0-litre turbocharged horizontally opposed engine and the 2.5-litre turbocharged horizontally opposed engine. The displacement of the new 718 Boxster and Cayman models has been considerably reduced with the aim of lowering fuel consumption. However, the power output of the new engines has been significantly increased. The Cayman comes standard with 2.0-litre turbocharged boxer engine producing 220 kW (300 hp) and 380 Nm, 18-inch Cayman wheels, Four-piston aluminium monobloc fixed brake calipers in black, front and rear, Bi-Xenon main headlights, Centrally positioned single-tube tailpipe, SPORT button, Porsche Communication Management (PCM) including mobile phone preparation and Sound Package Plus, Net-type wind deflector. The Cayman S standard with 2.5-litre turbocharged boxer engine producing 257 kW (350 hp) and 420 Nm, Variable turbine geometry (VTG), 19-inch Boxster S or Cayman S wheels, Four-piston aluminium monobloc fixed brake calipers in red, front and rear,Bi-Xenon main headlights, Centrally positioned twin tailpipe, SPORT button, Porsche Communication Management (PCM) including mobile phone preparation and Sound Package Plus, Net-type wind deflector, Sports-style pedals and footrest.
